The
21st century is seen as being an age of urban
life. History shows a repeating pattern of cities
being created and then disappearing. So, what
does the future hold? We want you to be able to
understand the splendors of cities and how interesting
they are by looking at them from many different
aspects. To this end, the Kajima Corporation Group
has prepared the following cyber venues. They
include a "Construction Museum Journal" which
introduces new topics and technologies that are
surprisingly unknown in the areas of bridges,high-rise
buildings and tunnels, etc.,"Chronopolis:
cities by time span","Eco Focus" which examines
the environment around us, "Civil Engineering
in the Animal World Learning from Nature", and
"A Tour of Millennium Cities" . Right now, we
are sharing a common time-space as far as the
sustainablity of our earth concerned. Therefore
in "Design
Forum Chronopolis" we aim to gather information
from around the world on a number of areas including
fashon and multimedia, then fuse these together
to create wisdom on a global scale. We will then
use this wisdom to present totally new images
of the 'city' on the time-span of one minute ,
one year, one century and a millenium. "Construction
College" is a venue for learning about the relationships
between cities and society seen over a broad-spectrum.
Come and experience our Urban Odyssey Pavilion
2001 where you can learn, create and enjoy with
other people in the exciting realm of the cities
of the new millennium and the environment. |
